The Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin is once again holding their annual River Ramble and will be featuring the fla****er tidal creeks of the Lower Potomac this year. The Rambles are laid back multi-day paddles along sections of the Potomac that raise awareness for current local issues while promoting the resources of the river.
This year's Ramble runs from the evening of June 19th - 22nd, from Piscataway Creek to Mason Neck State Park. Programs will include a historical tour of Fort Washington, bird-watching alonf the Mason Neck Peninsula, catching the invasive snakehead fish, collecting and identifying types of submerged aquatic vegetation, and more.
The cost is $45/day and includes all meals, outfitter service through River and Trail, camping, shuttle, and programs. This is a non-profit event.
